How to start a new swim club at your school:

If you are thinking about starting a club at your school, please contact us so that we can help you get things up and running.  After contacting us, follow these steps:

Step 1:
Contact your school's Sports Clubs, Campus Recreation, Athletics or Campus/Student Activities office and find out the requirements for starting a sports club or general student organization.

Schools usually require only a small initial membership (usually 3-6 members) and a little paperwork, which may include a club constitution.  ASA U. has a Sample Club Constitution available for use as a model, for ideas/inspiration, or for you to copy in its entirety if you so desire.

Step 2: Register your team with your school as a Sports Club or other kind of student organization recognized by your school. Please let us know when you've registered your club with your school.

Step 3: Recruit members.  Your school may allow sports clubs to have post-graduates, law students, medical students, faculty, staff, and alumni as members in addition to current undergraduate students.
